The Flag on The Mountain
The sight-line looking to the north from Nicosia and central Cyprus is dominated by the Pentadaktylos Mountains, on the other side of which lie the northern beaches, resort areas,and port of Kyrenia (Girne to the Turks).A distinctive feature visible to all is this massive flag of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, a jurisdiction recognized only by Turkey There are only a few crossing points between the north and the south.
